"As one of my university briefs, for the 2015 design I decided to reimagine the festival and create a clean, simple brand that is easily expandable across multiple formats and/or event collateral. The concept behind the brand mark was that each of the vertical or diagonal strokes represents element of the festival, whether that be dance, theater or visual art, etc. Only when brought together as a group, it forms the letter ‘M’; only when brought together, it becomes the MOFO festival."

Harley Jackman is a graphic designer from Melbourne, Australia. He is focused on graphic design, branding, typography and print design.

Here’s my most recent packaging project. I developed an initial brand for a make-up line with an underlying monster and villainess theme. Each illustration is created with actual makeup to indicate the shade and color of the product in the box. On the inside of each box is a pattern created from a collage of vintage sci-fi and horror posters. Boxes with large enough facets include excerpts from poems such as Lady Lazarus by Sylvia Plath and Lady Lillith by Dante Gabriel Rossetti.

Finally finished brewing my first batch of beers! Obviously did the label design myself and currently await testing these fine specimens with some friends later tonight. Cheers to not fucking up my first run!
